Maxie is such an easy, well behaved girl that we think she would be perfect for an active senior or anyone looking for a real easy companion. She is a 4 year old, female, 13 lb Doxie/Chihuahua mix, better known as a Chiweenie! Maxie was rescued from the Redlands Animal Shelter where her sweetness and loyalty quickly made her a favorite among the volunteers. Maxie was most likely passed up for adoption because the white around her face makes her appear older then she really is. This girl is no senior!! Her teeth are pearly white and we believe she is most likely younger then 4 years.

Maxie is a quiet, gentle LOVEBUG!!! She loves to cuddle in close and will sneak in gentle kisses just to let you know how happy she is to be with you. She is a nondemanding easy dog and is content to sit quietly beside you. She bonds easily and deeply to her special person. Her house manners are wonderful and she is past the mischief making puppy stage. It was very clear from day one that Maxie is 100% housebroken and will wait to be let outside to do her business. She currently lives with other dogs in her foster home but would prefer to be the only canine in the castle.

Maxie does not require a lot of exercise but she enjoys going for walks and is wonderful on the leash. Riding in the car is new to her but she does well and seems to enjoy it now that she knows the car is not heading back to the shelter. Maxie is a sweet delightful little dog who will be a loyal companion to whoever adopts her.

Maxie is spayed, housebroken, micro-chipped, rabies, dewormed and up to date on her vaccinations. Please contact Theresa at treasuredtailsrescue@hotmail.com or call 951 852-7999 if you would like to meet Maxie! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxie - Easy & low maintenance, a Yorba Linda Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Yorba Linda, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Yorba Linda.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yorba Linda already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yorba Linda breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yorba Linda paves the way for another one to be saved.
