The Florence Dedman Animal Shelter and Foundation Is a private low kill shelter. We work off of donations from grants and from private donors The meaning of a "low kill" shelter is animals will not be euthanized because of lack of space or because they have been in the shelter for a long time. We so the best we can to care for our animals. The get a vet check when they arrive and appropriate vaccinations for there age. We also make sure that all animals are spayed and neutered. We are located in Fort Benton Montana and also help our surrounding areas.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Izzy, a Fort Benton Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Fort Benton, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Fort Benton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Benton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Benton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Benton paves the way for another one to be saved.
