Zekk's Story...
Zekk and his brother, Kip, were recently rescued from an East TX animal shelter, where they had been dumped by their former owners. We aren't sure what 2 tiny pups could have done that was so terrible to wear out their welcome before their "puppy breath" even wore off, but that is what happened. Fortunately, one of our foster moms found out about the boys just in the nick of time to save their lives. The brothers were born in the middle of April, 2007. They both have VERY high energy levels, typical of their breed. They will need new families who will participate with them in obedience classes when they're a little older. Additionally, this breed typically needs some sort of hobby or "job" to satisfy their intellect and energy level. Zekk and Kip would make excellent agility dogs several months down the road. (Their foster mom will be more than happy to tell you all about this very enjoyable sport.) Zekk and Kip will also need a long walk (or preferably, a run) every single day. Zekk is the "loverboy" of the pair. He likes to be cradled on his back like a baby and have his belly rubbed. Zekk also loves to play with other dogs and cats. Zekk has had his first round of puppy boosters and has been wormed. Our $175 adoption fee also covers 2 more rounds of boosters, plus Zekk's neuter. If you enjoy an active lifestyle and if Zekk sounds like the ideal addition to your family, we invite you to complete our online application today: www.tassieshope.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zekk, a Carrollton Anatolian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
