Duncan's Story...
My name is Duncan.. I was rescued from Levy County Animal Services.. I'm neutered, completely vaccinated, microchipped, and on flea/heartworm prevention.. I'm a sweet boy who loves other dogs.. I walk well on a leash.. I love to go for rides.. and I'm crate trained.. I can be a little shy when I first meet you .. but if you have a cookie in your hand then I'll be your new friend.. I'm being fostered in the Alachua/Marion county area.. If you'd like to meet me please call or text Ms. Jody @ (352)316-5155 or send her an email .. Thanks, Duncan... PS- the reason Ms. Jody marked "special needs" for me is because of my ears.. whatever mixed breed I am has caused my ears to not have an opening.. so cleaning them and keeping them healthy is a little difficult.. it also makes me a little hard of hearing.....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duncan, a Williston Whippet/Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet/Basenji for sale in Williston, or seeking a Whippet/Basenji dog from a breeder in Williston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet/Basenji breeders who help with Whippet/Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williston paves the way for another one to be saved.
