My name is Jessie.. I'm about 2 1/2yrs. old and weigh around 45lbs.. I was rescued from Levy County Animal Services the day before I was scheduled to be euthanized.. my sister and I were turned in to the shelter by our owners.. they didn't even care that we might be killed.. my sister got adopted within a few days.. but no one wanted me.. they would walk right by my kennel and not even stop to say "hello".. well, Ms. Jody came in to see me.. gave me a big hug.. and said, "come on sweet girl.. let's get you out of here".. she said I deserved a "second chance".. Now I'm spayed, up to date with my vaccines, microchipped, on flea/heartworm prevention .. I'm in the Alachua/Gilchrist county area.. if you would like to give me a forever home.. pls contact Ms. Jody.. you can call or text (352)316-5155.. or send her an email at SCRWestLevy@gmail.com. Come spend some time with me.. I know you'll want to take me home.. Thanks, Jessie
Second Chance Rescue is headquartered in Bunnell, Florida. The Western Region covers a rural area in the Gainesville/Ocala area with a network of volunteers and foster homes. We rescue from Levy County Animal Services. (We do not have a facility in Williston - but that zip code is fairly central to our network of foster homes.)
Donate to Our Rescue Group...
Donations can be made directly to our vet or via Paypal to firstname.lastname@example.org
Come Meet Our Pets...
Most of our adoptions are done following a telephone conversation, application approval and play date/home visit. We do limited adoption events at Tractor Supply in Jonesville (Newberry Road, west of Gainesville). If you are interested in a particular dog, give us a call today!
Our Adoption Process...
Each adoption has an application process, home visit, contract, and adoption donation. The process almost always starts with a brief telephone conversation to get things started! :-) Call today and we'll do our best to match you with a great forever friend!
