Pistol Pete (Petey)'s Story...
Hello, my name is Petey.. I'm about 3 yrs. old, weigh approx. 50lbs., and a bundle of muscles with short legs.. My foster mom calls me a "low-rider".. I walk well on a leash (just a little strong sometimes), I have a hard time meeting and trusting men.. but I warm up to the ladies a lot faster.. I love to play in the yard with my rope toy and tennis ball.. and I even jump in the kiddie pool to splash around.. I'm crate trained and would make a great protector.. I would do better as an only dog.. I'm neutered, up to date with my vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/heartworm prevention.. please contact my foster mom, Jody, at (352)316-5155 or email her at heflinj@bellsouth.net if you'd like to schedule a play date with me or fill out an application.. Thanks, Petey (p.s.- I just wanted to let you know.. I'm over in the Gainesville area)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pistol Pete (Petey), a Orange Lake Boston Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Orange Lake, or seeking a Boston Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Orange Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orange Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orange Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orange Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
