Riley's Story...
Meet Riley! He is your typical golden retriever in pretty much every way you can imagine! However, Riley has a personality like no other. For starters, he grumbles and wiggles with excitement when he meets new people! Second, he can carry at least 3 tennis balls in his mouth at any given time. While we think he is about 8 years old, he acts more like a 4 year old. Riley is good with dogs and children and as long as you play ball with him and give him the love and attention he deserves, he is good to go! Riley just finished round 1 of his heart worm treatment and is doing well. Other than that, he is healthy and ready for his new home! if interested in Riley, visit our website - Knoxville to New England page.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Roanoke Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Roanoke, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Roanoke.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roanoke already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roanoke breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roanoke paves the way for another one to be saved.
