Piper's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Piper's Story...
Piper was rescued from a high kill shelter along with her mother, Lori. A man who had become too old to hunt surrendered both of them to an animal control officer. Piper is timid and very shy so will take someone with a lot of loving patience to bring her out of her shell. She is very sweet, with not a mean bone in her body. We don’t think Piper knew what toys were for but now she loves love playing with them. Piper is submissive and plays well with other dogs. Piper is food motivated so will be easy to train. She is now spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms and on preventatives. She is trained on a PetSafe radio fence. She is about 11 months old and 30 lbs. Piper would do best in a home that will patiently build her confidence. A home with older children (if any) as sudden fast movements make her nervous is preferred. UPDATE: Piper is now housebroken. She is far more confident but still shy with strangers.
. Please contact her foster Mom, vivgraves@hotmail.com for an application or more information. $175 Adoption fee to help defray veterinary and care costs to approved home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piper, a Franklinton Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Franklinton, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Franklinton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklinton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklinton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklinton paves the way for another one to be saved.
