Dobby can rarely finish a walk around the block without someone commenting on how cute she is. Her huge smile and constantly-wagging tail attract fans everywhere she goes. Her story didn't start off great, but she's well on her way to a fairy-tale ending.
When this shiny black beauty first came to APA, she was so malnourished that her ribs stuck out of her frail body. She was in constant pain from a mysterious leg injury, her fur was patchy, and she tested positive for heartworms. After months of love and attention from shelter caretakers and foster parents, Dobby is now at a healthy weight, is recovering well from knee surgery, and is halfway through her heartworm treatment. Through it all, she has kept the same sweet, even-keeled temprament that draws people to her.
Dobby walks well on a leash, enjoys sunbathing and lounging in kiddie pools, and adores meeting new people. She is housetrained and very treat-motivated, so she is easy to work with on obedience and commands. While this sweetheart loves humans, she needs to be the only animal in her new home. Can you help this girl move on to the next great chapter in her life?
