KARMA's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Gray, Blue Or Silver Tabby | Age: | Young |
| Sex: | Female | ID#: | 3283 NON | Hair: | Short |
Her name is Karma because when found she was totally starving (skin and bones) and she managed to crawl through a 4 inch opening in a car that contained cat food she could smell. She spent the night and was there waiting in the morning when the her foster-home-to-be came out of her house to get in her car. This sweet girl is so deserving of a wonderful, loving home. She will thank you for providing her with one each and every day. Karma is mellow, calm, friendly, and just loves attention. She is most definitely a lap cat. She could live with another kitty or be a solo pet. She should be fine with calm kids and cat-friendly dogs. We estimate she was born around August 1, of 2010. Bio# 3283 NON
Rescue Group Info...
ICRA is an all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the suffering of the abandoned cat population of Alameda and Oakland, and to educate people to their plight. We provide foster homes for our rescues until we can place them into loving homes through our adoption program. On a limited basis, we humanely trap feral cats in order to spay/neuter them before releasing them back to their colonies. Our goal is to expand our program for maintaining cat colonies in our communities. To make this expansion possible, we need more volunteers.
Adoptions are hosted at PETCO, 2310 S. Shore Center, in Alameda's South Shore Center, every Saturday from —
11 am to 4:00 pm
No cats show on major holiday weekends.
Enter the store, head to the right past the registers and straight ahead to the far wall of the store. There is a door there where you will find our cats.

Potential adopters pick out a cat or kitten and fill out an application.
There will be a short interview with one of our volunteers. Adoptions do not happen the same day. We will arrange a time to visit your home and the foster parents and a volunteer will meet there. Our adoption fee structure is:
- Cats and kittens (six months to 8 years): $100
- Cats (over 8 years): $75
- Two cats: Full amount for the higher amount cat, half amount for the lower amount cat
For example: a kitten and an adult would be: $100 + $50 = $150
Prior to Adoption all cats and kittens are:
- Spayed or neutered
- FeLV and FIV tested
- FVRCP vaccinated
- De-wormed, and
- Treated for fleas with Advantage or Frontline
Alameda, Oakland, and surrounding communities.
