Mishka Teddy Bear!'s Story...
Mishka is the most precious kitten (or teddy bear) you could ever find. When we found this fluffball, she was starving and desperate for love. We believe she was trapped for several days with no food or water. And yet this little thing could not decide whether she wanted to eat or to be held and give us one of her famous teddy bear hugs!

Mishka loves to roll on her back and give you her belly for a good rub. She’ll even give you a high five in approval! She enjoys playing with her feather toys and chasing after the grown up kitties. She especially loves being in your arms or snuggling on your lap to purr the night away.

Mishka’s healthy as a bear, too – she’s been spayed, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and has all her vaccinations.

If you’d like to meet this teddy bear, please contact Donna, at straycatstrutnyc@gmail.com or (917) 691-9466.

Thanks so much for thinking of a kitty in need! Your adoption fee helps us rescue the next cats in need of help.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mishka Teddy Bear!, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
