My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

8/22/12 UPDATE - Paris has advanced blind dog skills, we believe maybe she was born blind, giving her ample time to be able to navigate the yard, rooms, furniture successfully. She is careful and fully aware of her surroundings quickly learning where things are. She is treat/voice/leash motivated. One thing we use with her (and other blind dogs) is leash cues (move leash to go left for left and right for right, much like leading a horse) , and being careful not to move anything like furniture, water bowl, doggie beds, things in the yard, etc. Another thing is extra voice 'come here' or 'this way' . A quick smell of strangers invites petting. Snapping our fingers will send her tail into a constant wag. If you want a real nice girl, attentive, fun to see what she knows next, not afraid to let her be a dog (yes she even calculates the couch height to jump up), this girl is a gem.
8/14/12 UPDATE - Paris was a very good girl at the vets. She is HW neg, received rabies, flea/hw preventative, even tho she had bordatella at the kennel she developed a mild case and is even happier now that that is over. Paris is an active adult. I call her a gentle jumper. She sits up for treats too. She has a great spirit and doesn't let her blindness stop her from enjoying people and all the other things. She is very easy to care for.

8/2/12 - Paris came in as a stray. She is a gentle, friendly, happy lap dog. Her tail goes none stop and her head tips to the side when talked to. She knows come, sit, stay, walks great on leash, and is potty trained. She loves being petted and getting belly rubs.
Pics are before and after grooming. Paris is partially blind. She is just learning the fence/house boundaries but in one day is already listening to my whoops cue when she is going to bump into something.
