If you ever wished that your kitten wouldnt grow up -- then do we ever have the right cat for you -- Puddin! This pint-size princess is all grown up and all of 7 pounds. Shes Perky! Pesky! Pfabulous! Pliable! and Pfeisty! Impish and happy-go-lucky, shes high energy and enthusiastic about everything! Shes always in hot pursuit of little furry mice she tosses to entertain herself and is loco for the laser pointer. Shes a frequent escort for anyone headed to the loo. Puddin Pie needs lots of rubs and goes as limp as a cooked noodle in your hands. She loves to race between your feet and beat you to anywhere you are headed. Ms. Pie is a loller on your queen-size bed as she beckons for your company. And shes SO disappointed if you don’t have a little time to play before leaving for work. Are you up for some big phat pfun with our Puddin? Puddin was born fall 2011.

Feline Friends is a foster-based, no kill, cat rescue organization serving Chicago. We do not have a physical site – we are completely foster-based. To meet any of our cats in the Feline Friends program, we arrange meetings between foster homes and potential adopters. Feline Friends is staffed 100% by volunteers, and is funded entirely by private donations. Feline Friends is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible.
Our mission statement is: “to help alleviate the suffering of homeless pets in Chicago by rescuing, spaying/neutering, and responsibly placing as many animals as possible in permanent homes.
Feline Friends is a 100% foster-based program. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can rescue. We are continually in need of foster homes, and would love to hear from you if you could provide a foster home. Contact us at felinefriendsorg@gmail.com.

All cats in Feline Friends live in foster homes. As part of the adoption process, we have the potential adopter meet the available kitties by putting them directly in touch with the appropriate foster parent(s) to coordinate a day and time for a visit.
The process for adopting a cat involves a couple of steps.
Step 1 Gather information
We gather information about the potential adopter's situation, what they are looking for, their current household and pets, etc.
Step 2 Cat “Interviews”
Next, we have the potential adopter meet the available kitties, by putting them directly in touch with the appropriate foster parent(s) to coordinate a day and time for a visit.
Step 3 Adoption application
Once the potential adopter has met the kitties, if they decide they want to do an adoption, they fill out our adoption application, which we then process. It takes a couple of days to process the application. Once the application has been processed and approved, the kitties are ready to go home.
Step 4 After the adoption
Once a person has adopted a cat, Feline Friends continues to stay in touch with the adopter to ensure a smooth transition for both the person and the cat. We remain available for questions and advice.
All of our kitties have been combo-tested for FIV/Feline Leukemia, spayed or neutered, vaccinated for distemper, microchipped, and dewormed. The adoption fee helps to offset the costs we incur to do all of these things.
