Lily's Story...
Sweet Lily has had a rough life. At 1 week old her mother died and she and her sister and brother became orphans. OpEd took them in and worked very hard to keep them alive, getting up every 2 hours to feed them. All seemed well until week 5. Lily's face broke out into sores and her neck and mouth started swelling. We rushed her to our vet who determined she had Puppy strangles, a very rare diease. http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&A=2906&S=1 Just when we thought we had that under control we noticed she was still loosing hair. Another visit to the vet revealed that she also had demodex mange. Although demodex is non contagious, combined with her puppy strangles it became apparent hat to treat her would have to be aggressive. At this time we are trying to get Lily 100% healthy so she can find her perfect home. Lily is SUCH a sweet girl, who never complains when she gets her meds (7 a day!) and gives the best kisses! If you are interested in adopting Lily, we can go ahead and get the process started and she can go home as soon as she's healthy! Don't let her rough start deter you from all the love she has to give!!!

Our Adoption Process...
Operation Education requires a PHYSICAL fence for off leash playtime. All animals in the home must be up to date on vaccines, on a heartworm preventive and spayed or neutered. We will conduct a home visit and a vet check to ensure all these qualifications are met.
