Amy's Story...
This is Amy, she is shy and reserved. She was a Mama's girl and likes to hang out with her sisters. She is learning to trust, but is doing it in her own time!!!! She likes to have her chin and forehead rubbed with just one finger, thank you!!!!! Amy is such a quiet and sweet kitten. She will join in the fun with her sisters, to bat a ball or chase a string. Amy has beautiful colorful markings. She has the sweetest little face. 10/16/12: Update! Amy has come out of her shell and LOVES attention!
This kitten will be shown at Harrisonburg PetCo most Saturdays in October and November. Please stop by to meet her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amy, a Franklin Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Franklin, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Franklin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklin paves the way for another one to be saved.
