BLAIR's Story...
Just take a look at lovely Miss Blair. Isn't she beautiful! She is a Lab mix and was 6 1/2 years old when she came to PAWS on July 6, 2012. She and her good friend, Kali, were adopted from PAWS when they were just puppies. Now, after 6 years, she has lost her happy home. Her mom and dad got divorced, and he didn't want her and she couldn't take her. We have talked with her, and we think she understands that she can't go home again because she has begun talking about finding a new home and family to love. She is housebroken, heartworm negative, on a heartworm preventative, has been spayed and micro-chipped, and has a wonderful disposition. Come meet this grand lady. She will be the best friend you could ever hope for!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BLAIR, a Anna Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Anna, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Anna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Anna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Anna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Anna paves the way for another one to be saved.
