Puff Ball's Story...
Puff Ball was rescued from a mobile home park when a kind lady noticed that both of his eyes were completely crusted over. Realizing he was sick, she sneaked up on him while he was trying to eat. Since he couldn't see her, she caught him with no trouble and brought him to Dumpster Cats. He is now very healthy and very lovable. One of the pictures is of him just after we cleaned out his eyes when he was brought to us. This little boy has very long hair and loves to play and cuddle. Puff Ball has been raised in a foster home and is neutered, de-wormed, litter trained, vet checked, current on their vaccinations, flea treated and tested (neg.) Why Adoption is a Great Option

Puff Ball, a Kirkwood Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Kirkwood, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Kirkwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kirkwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kirkwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kirkwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
