Murphy's Story...
Murphy wants to play and play. He loves to fetch and never tires of it. Well, eventually he will tire but it takes a long time. A lot of times, I think he is simply an eight year old puppy. He also loves long walks and the beach. He'll run in the surf and swim. He has been around small children and does very well with them. He is very tolerant of youngsters who are a little rough with pets. He is not aggressive with other dogs or cats. He always approaches other dogs from a submissive position and all he wants to do is play. Murphy needs a home with companions, but right now both my wife and I work and Murphy is left alone too often. He suffers from separation anxiety which has gotten worse since his companion cocker spaniel passed away. So, he might do well in a home with another dog for company. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy, a Berkeley Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
