Erwin's Story...
Meet Erwin. He found himself in doggie jail and was came very close to being put down but luckily they called AGK for help. Erwin is about a 7 years old, golden mix. Erwin is healthy besides his horrible flea allergy that has left his back end raw and partially hairless. He is on medication to help treat the infection and must be on flea prevention for the remainder of his life. He is already feeling much better and his coat is becoming more and more gorgeous every day! Erwin is good with other dogs and kids of all ages. He is house broken and can be trusted unsupervised in the house. Erwin is relatively low energy but definitely likes to go for walks and explore. He would make an amazing pet and is ready for his forever home. Please go to our website at www.adoptagoldenknoxville.org, Knoxville to New England Page for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Erwin, a Danbury Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Danbury, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Danbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Danbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Danbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Danbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
