Katie's Info...
| Breed: | Siamese | Color: | Unknown | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Female | ID#: | 1060 | Hair: | Short |
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Katie, a pretty, 6-year-old, bright-blued-eyed, spayed female, Lynx Point Siamese-mix, is in need of a new home. Because of the death a few years ago of her original adopter, and health issues now challenging his widow, Katie is taking applications for prospective new homes.

Rescue Group Info...
Community Cat Rescue was formed to improve the lives of homeless cats through adoption, promotion of spaying/neutering, TNR and colony management and educational outreach to the public. We are a group of experienced rescue and TNR volunteers who have developed a network of foster homes for rescued street cats, and a regular program of outreach for adoption and education at local farmers markets, public events and at pet stores and shopping areas. We host a minimum of 3 outreach events per month, and often as many as 6 events. In addition to adopting out cats as family pets, we also have an active TNR program, including relocation of feral cats as "working cats" to appropriate homes if they are not safe in their original territory.
Sundays 9:30 AM to 1 PM at the California Avenue Farmers Market, Palo Alto (see website for dates)
Saturdays, 8:00 AM to Noon, at the Downtown Palo Alto Farmers Market on Gilman Street (see website for dates)
Local Pet Stores (see website for dates and times)
Potential Adopters fill out an adoption profile and application to help ensure that the cat or kittens they are applying for is/are a good match for their household. This is followed by an interview (phone or in person). All of our cats are in foster homes, so we know their personalities very well and can help you make a great match for everyone in your home.
If there are other pets in the household we provide assistance in introducing the new cat(s). We have lots of experience with multiple cat households, and we will work with you to make sure that everyone gets along and is happy. Cats or kittens can be returned to us within two weeks if they do not fit into your family or household.
Our contract specifically prohibits declawing and requires that if the new owner find that scratching is a problem, they return the cat to us rather than declaw.
Our adoption fees are $75 for a kitten (or $125 for two kittens)and $55 for adult cats, all of whom are spay/neutered, micro-chipped, immunized, treated for fleas and worms and given any required veterinary treatment before adoption. The value of these treatments is several times the adoption fee!
Since we are a volunteer group, we ask that in lieu of adoption fees, adopters donate to the Palo Alto Humane Society's Animal Rescue Fund, which helps rescuers in the local area.
