rocky in CT's Story...
Rocky was seized from the owner because of an animal cruelty along with his better half Cinnamon. Rocky is about 2 years old, heart worm negative, fully vetted, and thought to be a purebred American German Shepherd. He was placed in the cat room at the shelter and had no issues and actually just laid on the floor.

Rocky did great around my female german shepherd and showed no aggression towards her at all when I took her to the shelter last week.
He weighed 82lbs when he left the shelter on July 30th and we had to brush all the mats out and bathe him. It is amazing that someone would let this beautiful dog get this bad!

If you are interested in this amazing boy, please fill out an application at www.packleadersrescue.com

He is being fostered at a home with small children in Manchester CT and is Awesome.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

rocky in CT, a East Hartford German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in East Hartford, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in East Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
