Yolanda's Story...
Yolanda-Aussie mix

Yolanda is a 10 week old Aussie mix female puppy. She was born in foster care 2 days after her mother was taken in to Rescue out of a high kill shelter. Due to her poor condition the Veterinarian recommended the Rescue euthanize her. The Resue wasn't ready to hear that and decided to get a 2nd opinion on the little mother to be. Thank goodness that was being done as the puppies were born before the appointment was held. All healthy and well, a miracle in itself. Reminded us all of the wonder of life and it's many twists and turns. One never knows what will be around the next corner.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yolanda, a Germantown Anatolian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
