Look at this cutie pie!! Tinkerbell is a sweet shepherd mix that was found on the streets, thin and flea/tick infested. She has been spayed and is fully vetted and now ready for her new home. She is high energy so will need either a fenced yard to run and play or someone who is active and can take her running.
***Update from Foster***
Tinkerbell is mostly housebroken, but has had a few accidents. We are working with her on this. Otherwise, she is fantastic inside. She is very respectful and isn’t much of a barker. Although highly food motivated she doesn’t beg for people food and she doesn’t touch food left on the counter. She doesn’t get on furniture, nor does she enter or exit a room before us or without invitation. She is amazing with the kids, but she shows a bit of territoriality when it comes to my daughter. We are working on this though and I expect it won’t be much of a problem because we have addressed it early.
She is very obedient and respectful indoors but needs some more work outside. During the first 5 minutes of each walk or run she needs reminders on what “heel” means. After that she does well (unless something interesting crosses her path). She really likes water and boats, so she would be great companion for a family that spends time on the water. She has an amazing nose, and loves to follow scents. I will try to find a way for her to use this so she feels like she is “working”. She loves, loves, loves to run. An avid runner would also be ideal for her.
We are working on her being around other dogs because at this point we are not sure about that.
