Barney PENDING ADOPTION's Story...
Barney is a wonderful friendly 18 month old great Pyrenees being fostered near Benton, IL. Barney has tested positive for heart worms and is scheduled for treatment on Aug. 20th. We for see no problems with his recovery and so will be neutered and ready for placement about 5-6 weeks after his heart worm treatment date. Barney will be a wonderful family member for whoever adopts him. He is good with other dogs, cats and everyone he meets. It would be wonderful for Barney to have an adoptive family waiting for him when he is ready to go to a new home.

Please visit our web site at for adoption information. Our adoption application can be completed on line or downloaded. A securely fenced yard is required for adoption of our rescues with very few exceptions. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney PENDING ADOPTION, a Bloomington Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
