Karma's Story...
Update 07/24/12: UPDATED BIO 7/24/2012: Karma is an adorable little 10 month 4 lb (should be closer to 4.5-5 lb) puppy who was sold out of a box like merchandise. Thank goodness for the good Samaritan who couldn't leave this boy behind in the hot Florida sun.

Karma had a fractured wrist, and his fabulous vet fixed the fracture today, neutered Karma, and removed a baby tooth. Owieeee! Karma had to stay overnight where he is doing quite well. He will be coming home to his foster home tomorrow.

Karma still needs a little help in house-training. He also wants us to know that he would REALLY like another furkid to play with. Karma is going to need some time to heal but will be available in 6-8 weeks to just the right family. PLEASE NOTE: Due to Karma's small size, he can only be adopted into an adult household,no children!

Initial Bio 07/20/12: INITIAL BIO 07/19/2012: Karma is an adorable little boy who is approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 3.6lbs. (He should be weighing a little closer to 4.5 - 5lbs.) His previous owner was selling him in the street because he could no longer keep him. Luckily a vacationer saw Karma and purchased him so that she could take him straight to a vet because he was limping & very skinny. She knew something was wrong and wanted to make sure Karma would be safe so she surrendered him to UYR. Karma has an injury on his front left leg. He has been taken to the vet for his initial exams and will be going back over the weekend for x-rays and a treatment plan to see what can be done to fix his little leg. He is currently being fostered in Miami and will be up for adoption after he is completely healed. He's the cutest little guy ever! Well mannered and a joy to have.

Hi there! My name is Karma and I am so happy to be here!! I'm the new kid on the block and have settled in quite nicely at my FM's home. I got a nice comfy bed and 2 foster brothers to play with. But I can't play with them as much as I would love to. You see, I got an ouchy on my leg. But I don't let it bother me one bit. I hop around like a champ! I love going for walks and following FM everywhere she goes. I especially love cuddling up with FM and FD. I'm a real snuggle bear. I can't wait to be all better so I can run and play as much as I like. FM and I will keep you posted on how I'm doing. Wish me luck for my next dogtors visit. Love, Karma xoxo

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Karma, a The Villages Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in The Villages, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in The Villages.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in The Villages already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a The Villages breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in The Villages paves the way for another one to be saved.
