Sylvie's Info...

Sylvie's Story...
Sylvie is a beautiful Schnauzer. Sylvie is friendly with other dogs, likes people, and is pretty quiet. She is crate trained and a very sweet gal. As a typical Schnauzer, she will need to be groomed regularly throughout her life (the trade off for a no-shedding dog!). Thankfully, Sylvie is a Pro for the groomers, and is easy-peasy to handle. Sylvie would be great for just about any situation, so long as she can receive regular exercise and interaction with her people. She is past her puppy antics and ready to settle into her forever family’s routine. If you’re interested in Sylvie, don’t delay!

Update: Sylvie was adopted two years ago (she is now 6). Unfortunately her adopters' living situation changed and they moved into an apartment. Sylvie was not happy in an apartment setting, and she did her Schnauzer duty of alert barking at all of the noises from the neighbors. Sylvie would not be appropriate for apartment living and is looking for a home with a fenced yard to play in with her people. Sylvie is good with other dogs, but can get a little pushy with dogs smaller than her so bigger dogs are a better fit. All in all, Sylvie is a wonderful, fairly easy to own girl. She is housebroken, great in or out of a crate, and is very smart- she picks up new commands quickly and enjoys learning. She would be great with a family or individual.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sylvie, a Greensboro Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
