Leola's Story...
Leola is a Puerto Rican Sato Dog. Leola and her four sisters and brother were found by kindly tourists, dehydrated and half starved, abandoned in a run down shed. A few days later they flew to New Jersey, and after a few weeks of medical care and good nutrition, are now ready for adoption. "Leo" is fearless and playful, she loves to wrestle with her siblings (and a resident kitten), play tug of war, and then snuggle into any available lap. Since her mother was never found, it is not known what breed she is. Best guess would be that she will mature at 25 - 40 lbs. Island dogs have a wonderful reputation: quiet, happy, loyal and smart. A great addition to any household.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leola, a Pennigton Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Chihuahua for sale in Pennigton, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Pennigton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pennigton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pennigton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Chihuahua breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pennigton paves the way for another one to be saved.
