Little Lucy's Story...
Little Lucy is a Pekinese – spaniel mix who weighs just under 15 pounds. She is only one year old but won’t grow any bigger. She is extremely affectionate and docile. She is not a barker (like a lot of small dogs can be) and her favorite pass time is sitting on your lap for some loving. Lucy is a very calm girl and a real charmer.

Lucy is great with other dogs, with cats and with children. She is completely housebroken, loves to ride in the car, and is spayed, up to date on her shots and micro chipped.

Little Lucy limps a bit but had had a complete physical and my vet says she is in great health. Lucy runs and plays, and will follow you around like a guardian angel.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Lucy, a Poway Pekingese/Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese/Cocker Spaniel for sale in Poway, or seeking a Pekingese/Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Poway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Poway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Poway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese/Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Pekingese/Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Poway paves the way for another one to be saved.
