*7/3/12 Sugar the Rabbit's Story...
VAILABLE: "Sugar" ID#A098918: I am a male, white and black Californian mix shorthaired rabbit. My age is unknown. I have been at the shelter since July 3, 2012. I need to be neutered if you want me to live long & behave well. Rabbits are not easier or cheaper to care for than cats or dogs and they don't make good starter pets. They should not be kept in cages all day. Please visit our website for pet care information before adopting a cat, dog, or rabbit. **Transportation can be arranged if you can meet up somewhere not too far from Northern California. Contact Dani at (805) 260-3923 if you need to arrange that. Otherwise, contact the shelter.**
*Trinket's Memorial Rabbit Sanctuary will be taking Daddy & the 2 lop rabbits on Saturday, 8/18, but there are 7 rabbits left (Sugar is one of them) & the other 6 are part of a neglect/abuse confiscation. A lot of them are very thin, some have patches of missing fur, and all of the longhaired rabbits have matted fur that needs to be removed. They all need to be spayed/neutered and the shelter doesn't do that.*

PLEASE REFER TO ID # WHEN CALLING THE SHELTER. I'm available to adopt from the shelter! Come visit me at Sutter Animal Services: 102 Second Street, Yuba City, California 95991. (530) 822-7375. Map/Directions: Pet Care & Spay/Neuter Info: Adoptable Pets:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

*7/3/12 Sugar the Rabbit, a Yuba City Californian was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Californian for sale in Yuba City, or seeking a Californian from a breeder in Yuba City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yuba City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yuba City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Californian breeders who help with Californian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yuba City paves the way for another one to be saved.
