Simon's Story...
Simon is a male Seal Point Ragdoll kitty. He’s got deep blue eyes and is estimated to be about 8 years old.

Simon was obviously someone’s pet at one time. He is a drop dead gorgeous kitty who looks like he was cared for.

At this time, we are looking for a extremely cat savvy foster family for him, preferably with someone who is experienced socializing traumatized adult cats. Mr. Simon has been through a lot and is just getting used to trusting people again.

He came to the ACF after being trapped in the neighborhood of 4th Street and F Avenue where had had been living under an apartment building for at least six months.

The ACF staff and select cat petters have been working very closely with Simon and he is learning to relax and realize we mean him no harm. Now that he has been released from quarantine, he gets the added attention of all of the other cat petters – all helping to socialize this traumatized kitty.

He is responsive to pets and has even let his guard down long enough to let us hear him purr.

We need a cat savvy, gentle and quiet person who is willing to work with Simon on a daily basis to help him build up his courage and trust so that he will blossom into the wonderful cat that we all see hiding inside of him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon, a Coronado Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
