Lilly was surrendered to the shelter because her owner was moving. She’s a sweet girl who doesn’t mind being picked up and paraded around. Her previous owner said Lilly is a couch potato who doesn’t like the company of other cats.
· Lilly is not declawed—regular nail clipping is suggested and a scratching post is a great tool for kitties
· Regular brushing is recommended for cats to keep their coats nice and clean, and to keep hairballs to a minimum, especially longer haired cats
· We feed our cats a mixture of Purina One and Science Diet. We recommend these, or anything holistic or organic. Foods with a lot of dyes are not good food for kitties
· It can take weeks and sometimes longer for your new cat to acclimate to your current pets – don’t give up!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly`, a Appleton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Appleton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Appleton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Appleton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Appleton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Appleton paves the way for another one to be saved.
