My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joi is one of 7 puppies born to a mom who found her pregnant self in a shelter in Houston, TX. The shelter was going to euthanize her because she was pregnant but luckily, a terrific IG rescue in Houston was able to pull the dog on our behalf and two days later, on May 19,2012, she had her babies. The kind foster mom in TX fell in love with mom and decided to keep her, so once the pups were weaned, we brought them home to St. Louis. Now all have been spayed and neutered, their vet work is done and all are awaiting their forever homes. They all weigh between 7 and 8 pounds at 12 weeks. We are guessing that their adult weight will be in the vicinity of 20 - 25 pounds. Perfect size for a family dog. As for the breed mix, that is an educated guess by our veterinarian and her staff. They do have little dachshund legs and the beautiful faces of a beagle. These pups have never known a bad day and although they did not much appreciate my early morning photography session, they are playful, social, sweet and fun babies. The puppies are all spayed or neutered, up to date on all shots, on heartworm/flea preventative, are microchipped and ready to start their new lives in their own homes. For each puppy, the adoption fee is $300 with all vet work done.
