Hi, I'm Polly. Do you need a loving affectionate cat? I'm your girl!
I had been out wandering in the wintertime after being tossed from a car. I went to the nearest house and the nice people there have been caring for me, even though I make the children have asthma attacks when they play with me and carry me around. I get along with the dogs, but who needs dogs when you can have me? I love to be petted and brushed, but my beautiful coat is a little shaggy in the pics after my mom cut some mats off me. You can see how smart I am in picture 2.
I am comfortable in the house, even though I am not allowed in, but I sneak in sometimes. I am very worried about the winter coming and what will happen to me.
Rescue Group Info...
We are a very small rescue group in a very small rural county in central Virginia (pop. 7,000). Our county lacks the resources to operate a cat shelter and we are trying to develop a sustainable cat rescue. We try to help residents to find homes for the many homeless cats in our community.
Because the county is so small, most of our placements are out of the county.
All RappCats are healthy, neutered, FELV-negative, and are up to date on all shots.
We conduct an initial phone interview/counseling to try to assure a good match. During the interview, the counselor fills out an application. We can arrange for you to meet the cat after that, if you wish.
We check vet references and will bring the cat to your home, as another way we try to be sure the cat will be a good fit for your family.
Our standard adoption fee is $85, and can be waived.
We serve Rappahannock Country, Virginia, and frequently place cats in other parts of Northern Virginia and Central Virginia, and the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
