Frankie's Story...
I'm Frankie, a very handsome 7 lb 4-5 year old dachshund/chihuahua mix. (mostly dachshund) I'm a super sweet boy looking for someone who has plenty of time and love to give. My housetraining needs some work, but I was just neutered so that should get better with time & patience. I get along well with most other small dogs and older well behaved kids. I'm not much of a barker and I love to snuggle. My $175 adoption fee includes vet checkup, heartworm test, shots, neuter, deworming, and microchip. To find out more about me call (757) 432-9222.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frankie, a Virginia Beach Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
