Tara's Story...
Tara is a beautiful gray female kitten with a white spot on her upper chest. She looks just like her brother Toby and sister Tami (only rescue mom can tell these two girls apart). She is loads of fun to watch as she runs, climbs, chases, pounces, wrestles and plays with the other kittens. She enjoys lounging with Gray Boy on the recliner or in the wicker basket (after she's done playing in it)! A true sweetie - she will win you over! Stop by to visit her at the PetSmart in Leesburg 11am-3pm or contact littlebuddies@erols.com for more information. ~ There is just something special about this liter! You will LOVE her! Tara was about 10-12 weeks old the first part of August.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tara, a Reston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Reston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Reston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reston paves the way for another one to be saved.
