Woody's Story...
Woody is a happy, smart, playful, fun and loving, two-year-old, 24-pound, male black and tan Min Pin-mix looking for a loving guardian. Woody landed at Chicago Animal Control when his family moved. He was scared sitting in a cage with lots of dogs barking and howling. He was lucky to be rescued by Famous Fido’s. He loves to play fetch and loves toys. He is crate-trained, and appears to be housebroken when kept on schedule. He gets along great with the other dogs at the rescue group. Woody is very healthy, neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. His adoption fee of $175 benefits Famous Fido’s Rescue Group. To meet and possibly adopt Woody, please contact Gloria at 773-907-0305 or fido@famousfidorescue.com or Martha at martha.j.hack@gmail.com or 773-690-2881.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Woody, a Chicago Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
