Madre's Story...
This little lady is very very deserving of retirement! After racing 126 races and birthing at least 29 registered puppies she's headed to Ohio and N.C.G.C. in hopes of a greyt family, soft bed and green yard all her very own. Seniors aren't called "the greyhound world's best kept secret" for nothing. Her foster parents report that she enjoys walking on a lead, good with older children. She is good with other dogs, not frightened by loud vehicles. She is house trained and very affectionate. She also crates well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Madre, a Fremont Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Fremont, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Fremont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fremont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fremont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fremont paves the way for another one to be saved.
