Katie - Poor Katie has been in the shelter for quite some time. Katie is a 9 yr old Pointer cross. She was transferred to us from another shelter when her time was up. When she arrived at our shelter she needed some siginficant vet work done but after a few trips to our vet Kaite is now in pefect health. The day Katie arrived at our shelter we were amazed at how full of life she is but she is getting tieard of being passed by. She is almost completley deaf so would do best in a home without children that would startle. She is fantastic around other dogs, big and small but is not comfortable with cats. She is great to walk and would be a wonderful addition to a family looking for an easy going, loving girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie - Courtesy Post, a Barrie Collie/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Pointer for sale in Barrie, or seeking a Collie/Pointer dog from a breeder in Barrie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Barrie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Barrie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Pointer breeders who help with Collie/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Barrie paves the way for another one to be saved.
