Kirby is a happy and playful 2-3 year old who is always wagging his tail. He is a Terrier most likely mixed with some Poodle, and is low shedding, which is a huge plus! His best feature are his big, warm, gorgeous brown eyes and his white coat is laced with the color of Apricot (he is SO much cuter in person – very camera shy!) Kirby has a sturdy physique and weighs about 13 lbs. This makes Kirby a good “kids” dog who will not easily get hurt. He is great with all other dogs both big and small as can be observed in his video. He was a neglected stray found in the streets dodging traffic, with a bad dermatitis from having been bitten by fleas. He has been to the vet for a thorough vet check, has now been treated, and his coat is growing back nicely.

Though Kirby has a bit of a shy side to his personality, this plays in to him being able to be held by the human, without a lot of squiggling or movements, and just being a LOVE. But then, when you put him down, if there are other dogs around, you see the more extroverted side of him as he happily greets other dogs and seeks companionship and play. Kirby would be a great dog to provide companionship to your already existing dog, or placed in a home with kids, or as an only dog that has consistent daily activities to look forward to. He would be a great dog for dog park! He has shown signs to play with a ball and chase it. He is not a barker per se, but he does “talk” when he plays with other dogs, SOMEWHAT. But he also understands when we tell him “Hush Kirby!” He is not destructive and is not a digger that we have seen.

Kirby is doing great in his potty training (though potty reinforcement is needed in any new environment). He is neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, and micro-chipped. Kirby, a Los Angeles Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Poodle (Miniature) rescue.
