Woody's Story...
This darling gentle & petite 9 mo old kitten was living in a construction woodpile as a tiny kitten and heard crying for help by a caring young woman who lived nearby. "Woody" was grateful for a meal & comfortable place to rest & quickly showed his appreciation by rubbing, purring, & giving headbutts to his rescuer. Woody has blossomed in his foster home...he was initially a timid little guy who now seeks out attention and lots of pets! He likely will need some time, however, to adjust to a new home/people. You will surely be rewarded with his trust & love! He is seeking a home with a young/active cat already in your care. All medical work done. Meet him upon request at our adoption fair!. About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. We actively promote the importance of spaying and neutering and best practices in companion animal care. The majority of our cats/kittens come from high-kill shelters. We do not receive any government funding and rely on private contributions, 100% of which go to provide medical care, food and supplies.

Adopters must be within a reasonible driving distance to No. VA as we do not ship our animals; we participate in an adoption event held in Wash. DC most Sundays in conjunction with other rescuers. We strive to make the "purr-fect" match through our interview and application process. Adoption fees include all medical work (FELV/FIV testing, shots; spay/neuter); home visits are required prior to final placement. The majority of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs or as a companion to another young cat/kitten already in the home.

Northern Virginia/DC/MD; will consider nearby out of area adoptions if adopter is willing to travel to meet us and we are able to enlist the help of a rescue partner for the required homevisit..
