Cookie's Story...
Cookie is a spayed 2-3 year old Mackeral tabby. She was found in the Waynesville area near the end of June. She was not microchipped and attempts to find her owner have been unsuccessful. She is so pleasant to be around that we wanted to keep her ourselves, but our Landlord will not allow it. She is sweet-natured (hence the name), loyal, has a soft voice and is gentle around children. She is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly to people. She likes hanging out with her humans and is even "chatty" at times. We have only saw her interact with another cat through a screen door, she is neither too aggressive or passive which leads me to believe that she would be fine with other pets. We believe Cookie was someone's pet at one time and became lost. I would like for her to be an indoors-only cat and never have to be shut outside again. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Fairborn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Fairborn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Fairborn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairborn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairborn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairborn paves the way for another one to be saved.
