Rattle's Story...
My name is Rattle!! My foster mommy calls me “Morroco” or “Roco” for short (spanish for Rattle). I’m a lab/collie mix; and was born on June 1, 2012. I get along great with other dogs and children. I have a darling disposition and am known to give you a hug or two. The vet thinks I will be about 45 to 50 lbs. when I am all grown up. Even when the other puppies come in from outside I am always the last to come inside, (because I love laying under the shade trees). I have done super with my housetraining manners, but I’m just a little tike so you’ll have to continue teaching me, as I mature.
I am looking for my forever home, a family to love me as much as I will love them. All H.A.R.T. dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. We are heartworm tested and on preventative for such, as well as flea and ticks. If you are interested in adopting me, you need to complete an online application at You can enter my name on the application as a specific request. The application will put you in touch with my foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rattle, a Cincinnati Labrador Retriever/Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Collie for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Collie puppy from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
