Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rosemary is a calm, elegant, and refined feline. She is about four years old and came to us when her family lost their housing. They knew it would be a long time before they would have a safe, stable home for pets again, so they asked us to help Rosemary find a new forever home.
Rosemary has lived with other cats, and although she was very agreeable, the other cats seemed to enjoy picking on her. We think Rosemary would be happy as an only cat, or with another mellow cat who enjoys feline company. Rosemary has also roomed with kittens at her foster home, and she’s been a very patient and tolerant baby sitter for them.
Rosemary’s coat is extremely soft, but it does not mat and sheds very little, so her grooming needs are minimal—a good combing once or twice a week is fine. Our vet believes she is part Angora. Rosemary loves catnip toys, as well as the trackball, feathered things that fly through the air on a string, and the laser dot.
She is sweet, affectionate, and social, although not needy or demanding. She would like to be a lap cat, although the lap in her foster home is usually taken by the more assertive cats, so she sits nearby and observes, in her regal way, until the lap becomes available.
Rosemary has excellent house manners and no special dietary needs.
Like all ARCF cats for adoption, Rosemary has been spayed, microchipped, is up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
If you are interested in meeting Rosemary, please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.
Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.
