Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult, we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.
Beasley is a 10 month old, beautifully marked purebred beagle who is hoping for a home with a big fenced yard where he can fun and play. It seems he spent much of his earlier life in a crate. Beasley is a typical happy beagle boy and he LOVES LOVES LOVES kids and other dogs and he thinks cats are fun to play with. This happy camper is willing to try anything new and is curious about everything. Beasley is a bit overweight and he was underexercised, so he will need a home with a large fenced yard, some kids to play with and another dog would be a huge plus. Because he's still a puppy and has had little training in his young life, a stay at home adult will be needed for the next six months to help him learn all about his world. Beasley is food motivated like most beagles which is very useful for training purposes. Beasley is doing well on his house training now that he's been neutered, and he is kennel trained although spending more than 2-3 hours in a kennel a day is enough for him. Beasley is with a 501c3 non profit rescue and his adoption fee is $300.00. He came to rescue with no vet care but is completely up to date on his vetting--neutered, heartworm tested negative and on prevention, up to date on all immunizations, worming, flea/tick prevention and he has a HomeAgain microchip. If you have active kids, Beasley would be a perfect dog for them!
To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. THESE CRITERIA ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE FOR ALL APPLICANTS. If you do not meet the criteria for this dog, PLEASE do not apply. Due to the volume of emails we receive, we do not answer those in which the applicant doesn’t match the listed criteria.
