Bri's Story...
Hi- I’m Bri- a beautiful short hair tortishell cat with no tail (I was born that way)! I’m approx. 12-14 months old and as cute and fun and loving as can be! I love to be loved and I am a true sweetheart. I love to snuggle and to be petted too. I am very gentle and sweet. I am spayed, vaccinated, tested for FeLv and I am housetrained/litter-box trained. I have been treated with a monthly preventative for ear mites, fleas and worms too. I am so very lucky that I was rescued from a high-kill shelter literally just in time….I was a death row shelter pet and on top of that- before I was turned into the shelter (through no fault of my own), I had been sprayed by a skunk! Thankfully that’s all been taken care of now and I smell fabulous again!—Did you know in our area, 80%+ of cats/kittens in shelters are killed for no reason other than that they like to “clean out” the shelters regularly? Well, I am happy to be one of the very lucky ones and I am happy and healthy and love to be loved! I am ready to find a loving forever home to call my very own and I sure can’t wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bri, a Xenia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
