Orion's Story...
Orion is a very friendly, happy, bouncy, and extremely energetic, one-year-old, 55-pound, fawn and white, male, American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a loving guardian. Orion was rescued in Gary, Indiana. He’s great with all the other dogs he’s met in the rescue group. He already knows how to sit on command and takes treats nicely from your fingers. He is crate-trained and doing well with his housebreaking. Orion is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed and heartworm-tested. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. His adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued pets. He is currently living in a foster home in Chicago, Illinois, and would love to find a family to call his own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Orion, a Chicago American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
