Jag's Story...
This puppy-boy is Jag. He's six months old and is going to be a big fella when he's grown. He has a beautiful personality and wonderful temperament. He's a bit laid back for a kid his age but welcomes playtime any time.

He lives in his foster home with two children (ages 10 and 7) and a cat who has let him know that she is boss. He's crate trained, almost completely housebroken and is good to play with his own toys - with an occasional reminder. He's good with dogs of all sizes and even respects the smaller ones.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jag, a Austin Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Austin, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
