Saunter's Story...
Saunter is a special little black and white kitten that came to me from the Rancho Cucamunga shelter. From day one he's been a sweetie pie, mingled well with the other resident fosters, my dogs, and us...especially us. He is a sweet kitten, a little on the small size, but plenty of energy, a ready and steady purr. This little guy will make a great addition to a family looking for a kitten. If you are interested in adopting Saunter complete the application on our website and email to Meredith at mtavenner@roadrunner.com
Kittens adopted through FUR will be vaccinated, spayed or neutered, tested for Felv and many of them are microchipped prior to adoption. Typical Kitten adoption donations are $100, cash or cards accepted, sorry no checks. Please visit our website, www.felineundergroundrescue.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Saunter, a Winchester Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Winchester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Winchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
