Momma's Story...
Momma's owner passed away and left 3 dogs wiht no one to take care of them. 2 of the dogs have found another home, Momma is looking for a place to retire, she is 12 years old,a senior black lab. For her age she seems to be in pretty good health except for a fatty csyt on her leg, the vet says it does not affect her at all.

She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She would make some one a wonderful companion in her last years, The person fostering her says she wants to be where her person is.

She gets along with other dogs, she walks well on a leash. She is house broken.

If you have a place in your heart and your home for this sweet girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Momma, a Richmond Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
