My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Magnum is about 3 months old now and healthy as a horse. He did not have a very good start in life, but more on that later. We have been trying to figure out what his “PI” can stand for since “Private Investigator” like on the TV show does not fit. Roo, Payton and Willy call him their “precocious intern” in their black dog club. Maybe the “PI” stands for that “pretty incredible” beginning. You see, Magnum was found in a ditch when he was three weeks old. He was dehydrated and unable to move and (skip to the next sentence if you have a weak stomach) had maggots in his ears and between his toes. Poor, poor baby. He was taken to animal control and the shelter vet was able to remove the “varmints” and cure the skin condition they had caused. The shelter staff fell in love with him and they all worked diligently to get him hydrated and to take some nourishment. He responded quickly and before too long his spunky little self started coming out. Magnum is a very confident pup and it has been wonderful for him to be around our other dogs. He has learned so much from them and now he is ready to find a real forever family of his own. This little guy has not made the first mess in the house or in his crate. At this young of an age that is pretty incredible. We are also impressed with his leash skills. This is one smart pup! Magnum weighs 9 lbs. and will probably weigh around 25 lbs. when he is full grown. Without knowing his exact breed make up it is really difficult to know for sure but that is an estimate from the vet. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all of his shots. To meet Magnum, please complete our adoption application at www.cedarfarmrescue.com . Call us at (336) 251-8877 after you have submitted the application to verify that we have received it. We will be happy to answer any of your questions about Magnum or our adoption process at that time.
